About Me

Maaike
Linguist & timpani addict. After 25 years of singing as a soprano in amateur choirs and projects, I decided to have a go at the timpani. On 17 September 2008, I took my first lesson, and after my first beat, I was completely hooked.
This blog replaces my real-life paper notes that I used for keeping track of the musical and linguistics stuff that keeps throwing itself in front of me.
